It shows a menu option to remove the annoying HUD effects and even sound effect reward noises. To disable them, open your Addon/AAA-v1.3patch folder and run the menu.bat.

The 1.3 patch installs annoying HUD changes (huge blue bars that obscure vision). Then copy the files into the Battlefront directory so it replaces and merges with the folders correctly (it must ask to replace files).

If you struggle putting the folders in the right place, just make a temporary folder and install to that. The hardest thing to getting this installed right is the file hierarchy. The unofficial 1.3 patch adds a bunch of fixes (and allows modding) and is fully compatible with other patch versions for online play.

If you want to be sure the mods installed correctly, check that there's folders named BFX, BF1, and AAA-v1.3patch in your Addon folder. If you have any sort of question regarding either bugs or gameplay, I suggest reading the notes below. You'll see a lot of small details on the maps that will tickle any Star Wars fan. I have playtested every map I could get my hands on and have narrowed it down to the maps that have multiple conflict points, high quality custom assets (and uniqueness), and lore relevance in that order. Gamefront has shut down so I have combined the maps into 1 link. Mods go in your Battlefront 2/Gamedata/Addon folder. Install your Battlefront 2 and patch it to 1.1 (Steam does this automatically). Note: These mods will not affect multiplayer Amazing new maps are on track to release this year so check back for changes! So if you want to play on gamemaster servers, you'll have to launch your other BattlefrontIIa.exe and go to multiplayer. If it says unable to connect, erase the filters that are set to 3 players/150 ping and click refresh and you should see the game. The game will try to login to gamespy and fail, click the Join button at the top left and it'll say Busy. Join a game in Gameranger and it'll launch Steam/Battlefront 2.
After you set it up, it will appear under my games and will show all the hosted games. So load Gameranger and go to Edit, Options and select BattlefrontII.exe. The modified gamemaster exe must be renamed to something else such as BattlefrontIIa.exe because Gameranger requires you to load the original BattlefrontII.exe. If you accidentally deleted it, I provide one right below. You need your original exe to work with Gameranger. If you did the step above, your exe is modified and will not work with Gameranger. To set up Gameranger, it is an external program so download/install it.
